Homemade Autumn Cereal

Our perfect recipe for a homemade autumn cereal that fits perfectly to the autumnal spices and feels. It is fairly easy to make but most definitely the best you will make yourself. The perfect combination of crunch, spice and a bit of sweet. Ideal to prepare in advance.

Ingredients

  • 150g fine oats
  • 100g rugged oats
  • 5 tbsp. Almonds
  • 3 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp. Honey
  • 2 tbsp. Maple sirup
  • 1 tsp. Coconut oil
  • 100g chocolate drops

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C.

Mix oats, almonds, cinnamon,1 tbsp maple sirup and 2 tbsp. honey. Divide the mixture into two even parts.

Step 2

Mix the rest of the honey, maple sirup and the coconut oil in one of the parts. Wisk together until it forms a sticky consistency that does not fall apart easily.

Step 3

Press the mixture we prepared in „part 2“ onto a lined baking tray and pour the other half loosely on the other 1/2 of the tray.- spread out evenly.

Bake loose half of oats for about 20 minutes. Stir after 10 minutes to allow them to bake evenly. Scrape ff the tray into a bowl and set aside.

Bake the other half for 10 more minutes (30 min. total). Take out of the oven once they are golden brown and allow it to cool down a bit. Once it is at about room temperature you can start breaking the pieces apart into about bite size portions.

Step 4

Mix both parts together and fill into an air tight container. Allow the mixture to fully cool down before adding the chocolate drops.

The recipe makes about 8 – 10 portions with one portion having around 230 kcal. We recommend combining it with some low fat yoghurt and fresh fruit.

Now that you can enjoy your homemade autumn cereal we recommend you try it with a little bit of Joghurt and maybe add a little bit of vanilla paste. 😉 Enjoy!!
